Fruit origins

As many of you know, Lagidze waters are the healthiest tasty waters on earth. And you know why? Because they are all made from fresh and natural ingredients, also known as - fruits.

Mitrofan Lagidze used to pay particular attention to where all those fruits came from. Those of you who know Georgian cities, will find these places familiar. Those of you who don't, can write them down for their future travel destinations.

Apples and peaches Mitrofan delivered from the city of Gori, Eastern Georgia. Kaspi produced cherries for cherry lemonade. Lagodekhi brought roses, one of our favourite flavours. Raspberries and strawberries were picked in Bakuriani and citruses came from Abkhazia.

Here in Lagidze Water, we follow all Mitrofan Lagidze's traditions, and this one is no exception.

After writing this post, we almost felt the taste of all those fruits and if you want to feel them for real, you know where to find us:

Lagidze Water – a true Tbilisi tradition

Lagidze Waters, invented by Mitrophan Lagidze in 1887, have since then been an integral part of Georgian history. They have been loved by generations and missed by everyone when famous Lagidze café-shop on Rustaveli avenue was closed.

But now Lagidze Water is back! Though with sligtly different address, but with absolutely authentic and unique spirit. Situated on the territory of Sameba Cathedral, its location speaks for itself - Georgian tradition as it is. You have a chance to try all authentic flavours – Cream, Chocolate, Tarragon, Grape and Lemon – separately or by mixing any of them together. All flavours are made of natural syrups with the same secret recipe and technology as invented by Mitrophan Lagidze. He used only natural components – fresh fruits and herbs from different regions of Georgia, where the tastiest ingredients were hand-picked and selected. We continue this tradition which is why Lagidze waters are so organically tasty. Waters are kept in the same antique jars from Rustaveli Café-shop that preserve the real taste of Lagidze Waters best.

Lagidze water was served traditionally with Khachapuri, Georgian cheese bread. Don’t forget to try it!
